how learning language can be more effective
19 Dec at 05:58 - Learning Russian - EN-RU

Здравствуйте!

I am learning russian language right now and i am trying to figure out every possible way to quickly learn the language online. It has been really rough. It definitely helps that site like this providing basics skills to learn a language but it might not be quite enough to be motivated as we will not be communicating in a most practical way. Well, i actually found this course https://echoee.com/russian-courses/ quite helpful which i have already been enrolled with. They do one-on-one session as well as group session to develop more practical skills. I am quite impressed but still wanna make sure that i am on the right track. Please give me your advice or tips for more effectiveness and any insight about what i have mentioned.

Thanks

Hey!!! What do you think of the card idea? it is not new, but it is very useful when used correctly and learning a new language. The main thing is not to get confused in the names later)). I myself took a course from the Russian school https://golearnrussian.com/ and for the correct understanding of new words, we were also advised to resort to various techniques in memorizing and using new words, sounds, phrases. In fact, in this case, it is to immerse yourself in an atmosphere where you simply cannot do without the Russian language, there must be constant practice, including speaking

Slavic languages
23 Feb at 13:37 - Learning Russian - EN-RU

Hello,
As a Russian learner I got curious to know what other languages could I learn in the future based on my knowledge of Russian. What Slavic languages are the closest to Russian? Do Russian people understand the Ukranian language easily? Is the cyrillic alphabet the same for all the Slavic languages?
thanks

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Barter agreement - reading books for language learning
22 Nov at 07:30 - Learning Russian - EN-RU

Hello, my name is Sasha, I'm 27, well educated honest young man, have lots of language experience in Russian (as a former tv reporter and anchor, also as a graduated historian) and in English (around B2-C1). I'm an English teacher now. Well, at least, I'm trying to do my best.
I'm looking for a native English speaker. A good friend, maybe.
I can help you read, translate Russian books and learn some Russian. As a native speaker and a pretty smart guy I know lots of cultural stuff.
In return, I want you to help me with reading some English book I pick (probably on American history orrrr... you can pick some good book you want to read, and baaam, two birds, one stone, see?) So we choose books and work on each other's pronunciation and comprehension. You learn more - I learn more. Mutua...

Sladkov - What you means : the dialect of Russian? Russian's speaking language in Moskow, in St-Petersburg, in Krasnodar usw., or street's slang, prisoner's slang, worker's slang, schoolmate's slang usw.? Or abusive words, obscene words?

Hello! I'm doing a research for my new project and I need your help. I would like to learn more about English-speakers' knowledge of Russian culture and Russian cartoons, in particular. So can you answer two questions?
1) Have you ever watched Russian cartoons?
2) If you've watched some, what is your favourite Russian cartoon?
Thank you very much for participation!
